There are multiple applications where accurate estimation of surrounding environment (objects, walls etc) as well as distance towards objects, persons and walls is important. An example would be a navigational system for an indoors robot or a drone, or an application where distance to or coordinates of a moving object need to be established based on a 2D video for the purpose of communicating this data to other systems that require this.

DeepX provides computer vision, mathematical and hardware based capabilities solving the problem of indoor and outdoor environment awareness for machine navigation and computer vision distance/coordinates estimation purposes.

For accurate estimation often a combination of software and hardware methods are applied including software light enhancement, lidar, IR highlighting, combination of multiple camera feeds etc.
